Graduation!

A few weekends ago, I got to go watch Uncle Zac graduate! He is so smart, he had 2 different ceremonies to go to. I went to the one in the morning and I really liked watching all the people! Daddy and Papa had to take a few walks with me, but I was very well behaved!

Here I am wearing his cap! Don't I look sophisticated?!



We also got to stay in a hotel! It was the first time I had ever done that. Uncle Zac built me a fort out of all the pillows!


I am really proud of Uncle Zac and am going to miss him when he moves to Florida in August.

Spring Fun!

Why hello again! How is everyone doing? Like always, we are busy! The weather is starting to get nice outside. Look at the fun I've had recently! I love to drive my car and play with grass.



I also have 2 teeth now! Look at my smile!



I have a very exciting weekend coming up...uncle Zac is graduating from college and we get to help him celebrate. Also, it's Mommy's first Mother's Day on Sunday. I will be sure to be very good and make the day fun for her!

Why, Hello!

I decided that since Mommy started this blog about me that I probaby should contribute once in a while. So this is my first blog post!

Life has been busy for me lately. I have these pesky teeth that have been coming in for what seems like months and one is getting really close to popping through. I'm also learning how to sit up by myself. I'm pretty good at it and I even did it for 5 minutes yesterday! It's so much more fun to play with my toys when I can look at everything and pick up what I want!

I also really want to learn how to crawl. I can take my hands and drag myself in a circle, but that doesn't get me where I want to go. I try sometimes and Mommy says it looks like I'm swimming, but my arms and legs just won't work together how I want. I'm sure I'll get it soon!

Mommy and Daddy have taken me some really cool places lately. I went to a Mom to Mom sale a few weekends ago. Grandma bought a backpack for me to ride in and I napped for the 2nd half of the sale. I also got to ride around in my new wagon in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard! Daddy's old high school also made it to the state finals for basketball so I went to 2 of the games! It was so much fun!

Happy Half Birthday!

So, our little Trippster is 6 months old! Where has the time gone?

We've now progressed to eating rice cereal, avocado, carrotts and bananas. Tonight will be squash! It's so cool to see, in just over 2 weeks, how he's learning to eat. He now actually opens his mouth to take bites and knows what happens when we put him in his highchair.

We've been working on sitting up too! If he has a toy on the floor in front of him, he can stay upright for a little bit. Babies learn so quickly I'm sure he'll be a pro before too long.

In addition to Tripp's half birthday we also celebrated Grandpa & Uncle Rich's Birthdays! Happy Birthday guys!

new experiences!

Tripp is now eating solids! By solids I of course mean rice cereal, but is something other than a bottle. It's recommended that when introducing a new food you wait about 4 days before introducting another new food to make sure there are no food allergies so stay tuned for more food stories!!

He can also now roll from his stomach to his back and if he really feels like it he can do an entire cycle (back to stomach, stomach to back) but he has to be in a good mood for that.

We've had some other adventures since my last post. We went to Soccerzone for the Superbowl. Tripp did great and didn't cry at all. (He had been having some stranger anxiety and would start crying for certain people). We also had our monthly euchre night....Tripp stayed up a little after his bedtime and then got to snuggle with Grandma S. Mommy and Daddy got to have a date night over the weekend and Tripp stayed with Grandma & Grandpa S. He slept through the night and didn't make them get up too early!

Happy New Year!

Again, I'm a little delayed....with both a new post and wishing you a happy new year. January is almost over! The T man will be 5 months old tomorrow. How is that possible?! He finally got everything figured out and rolled over on his 4 month birthday! He now rolls over all the time. He's still trying to figure out how to roll from his stomach to his back.

We celebrated Christmas with both families and Tripp got some wonderful presents. I can't wait for this year when he will be so much more interactive!

At his 4 month checkup the Dr. said he looked really good and felt "sturdy." He weighed 15# 10.5 oz, which is still in the 75th percentile.

Still no updates on the teeth. He'll chew on anything you put near him, but nothing has popped through!

I would apologize for my slacking....

but I don't think anyone actually reads this. I take that back. I apologize to my Mom who is most likely my only reader :)

Anyway....Tripp is 13 1/2 weeks old! Where has the time gone? We get smiles everyday, he sleeps through the night and is very close to figuring out how to roll over (stay tuned). He also might have some teeth coming in!

Since I haven't updated for 2 1/2 months I'll go over what we've been up to....
-we celebrated Grandma Spears' birthday
-Tripp went to his first Schoolcraft Football game
-Tripp started sleeping in his crib
-we went to the Zoo Boo in Battle Creek (Tripp was a shark)
-we celebrated Octoberfest at the Nagelkirk's
-Tripp went to his first Halloween Party
-we celebrated my 26th birthday
-we went to the Kalamazoo Holiday Parade
-we celebrated Grandma Johnson's birthday
-we went to the east side of the state for Thanksgiving

Today is the first snow of the winter and we are all looking forward to the Holiday Season! I promise to be a better blogger.
